Unofficial Krillion practice · free forever
Think of the answer nobody else would.
Seven open prompts. 25 seconds each. The obvious answer floats, the rare one sinks you toward the trench floor. Play the classic dive or descend forever in endless mode.
How a dive works
Everyone gets the same prompt. Nobody gets the same answer.
Beat the clock
Each prompt gives you 25 seconds and exactly one answer. The timer only decides whether you answer at all — speed earns nothing on its own.
Go deeper than the crowd
The first answer in your head is the one in everyone's head. Accepted answers sink you by rarity: from Plankton at the surface to One in a Krillion, 1,000 metres down.
Reach the trench
Every point sinks you 10 real metres of ocean — past the Titanic at 3,800 m, into the hadal zone named for Hades. Seven perfect answers touch the floor at 7,000 m.

The classic dive, without the waiting
Seven prompts, ramping from warm-up to brutal. One dive per refresh — play as many dives as you like, no daily cap. Your best depth is saved in this browser.
Play UnlimitedEndless descent, three tanks of air
One prompt at a time, forever. A miss costs a tank; a One in a Krillion answer refills one. How deep can you go before the air runs out?
Play InfiniteThe rarity ladder
Six tiers, from the surface to the sea floor.
Every accepted answer lands in one of six bands, graded by how few players would have typed the same thing. Values below are Krillion Zone's own estimates for our prompt bank — not official Krillion figures.
| Tier | What it means | Points | Depth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plankton | The first answer everyone types. Safe, crowded, barely a dive. | 10 | 100 m |
| Too Clever | The sideways pick the whole school also thought of. | 15 | 150 m |
| Schooler | Solidly uncommon. A dependable mid-depth answer. | 30 | 300 m |
| Rare | Genuinely uncommon — most players never get here. | 60 | 600 m |
| Deep Cut | The specialist's answer, from a narrow corner of the category. | 85 | 850 m |
| One in a Krillion | Almost nobody else typed it. The ceiling. | 100 | 1,000 m |
Before you dive
The trap in the middle.
Once everyone knows the obvious answer is worthless, they all skip it — and land on the same second thought. Economists call this a focal point: people who cannot confer still converge on the choice that seems natural to everyone. In Krillion, the answer that feels clever to you probably feels clever to a few thousand other people too.
The real points live a step further out: the regional dish instead of the national one, the smallest valid example, the member of the category nobody thinks of as typical.
Example
"Name a farm animal"
- Plankton cow, pig
- Schooler goat, duck
- Deep Cut alpaca, quail
FAQ
Questions before the first dive.
Is Krillion Zone the official Krillion game?
No. Krillion Zone is an independent, unofficial fan-made practice site. The official daily dive lives at krillion.io, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by its creators. Our prompt bank, answer keys and tier values are our own.
Is it really free, with no signup?
Yes. Unlimited and Infinite are both free, with no account and no daily cap. Your best depth is stored only in your own browser. Refresh the page and you can dive again immediately.
How does scoring work exactly?
Accepted answers land in one of six rarity tiers, from Plankton to One in a Krillion. Rarer answers score more points, and every point sinks your dive 10 metres. A perfect seven-prompt dive scores 700 points — the trench floor at 7,000 metres. The values on this site are our own estimates for our own prompt bank, not official Krillion data.
What happens if my answer isn't on the list?
Nothing is deducted. You'll see a short notice that the answer wasn't recognised, the clock keeps ticking, and you can type another answer or pass. Only a timeout or a pass counts as a miss.
The water is waiting.
One dive takes under two minutes. The rare answer is right there — the question is whether anyone else sees it too.
